Inspired by Modern Masters

This week we launched our latest collection, Inspired by Modern Masters! The Artfully Walls team commissioned 35 original works that pay tribute to the masters of the modern art movement. "The collection is almost like a mini MoMA!" jokes our curator, who describes each piece as feeling "familiar, yet new."
Modernism—defined by such artists as Ellsworth Kelly, Cy Twombly, Alex Katz, David Hockney, Agnes Martin, Mark Rothko, Alexander Calder, Henri Matisse, and Robert Motherwell—challenged the long-held belief that art must depict the world as it is, and instead allowed artists to express dreams, symbolism, and subjective experiences. The Inspired by Modern Masters collection continues this method of expression, rejecting a realistic representation of subjects and embracing experimentation in form, with a tendency toward abstraction.
Now that our mini art history lesson is complete ;) it's time to share some of our favorite ways to hang these works at home!
