What was once considered highly problematic in the world of photography is now becoming a desired effect. Light leak, caused by a hole or gap in the body of a camera, allows extra light to leak in and over expose parts of the film or sensor. Rather than fixing the issue in post production, some photographers are now celebrating the effect for lending character to an image, and even creating the look digitally in Photoshop.
