Coastal style is taking a softer turn. In place of the deep navy, crisp white, forest green, and nautical red traditionally associated with seaside interiors, a new palette is emerging in washed blues, shell pinks, pale lavender, sea-glass green, and sun-faded coral. The shift mirrors a broader evolution in coastal design, as saturated colors and overt nautical references give way to hues that feel atmospheric, relaxed, and drawn from the landscape itself. In art, familiar subjects—sailboats, surfers, lighthouses, shorelines, and marine life—feel entirely new rendered in these softer shades. The result is a more romantic, contemporary vision of life by the water: less yacht club, more endless summer at golden hour.
